Downpayment Assistance Program

Up to $10,000 for military veterans who have served our country

Veterans is a downpayment assistance, second mortgage loan program with a 3.00% interest rate and payments deferred for up to 30 years for Washington State veterans who have served our country. Veterans combines with the Home Advantage or House Key first mortgage loan program.

Eligibility Requirements



You have received an honorable discharge or a discharge for medical reasons with an honorable record



You are a member of or were honorably discharged from the Washington National Guard and Reserve



You are a never remarried spouse or dependent child of a deceased Veteran



You are a first-time homebuyer or are buying in a targeted area



You qualify for one of the Commission’s first mortgage loan programs

Program Requirements



You have attended a Commission-sponsored homebuyer seminar prior to reserving funds



You have spoken with a participating loan officer to help you determine an acquisition price you can afford, how much cash you will need to close, and how much you can borrow through this loan



Your loan amount does not exceed $10,000
